Arm and Hand Pain

Arm pain and/or hand pain refers to everything below the shoulder. Patients can get arm or hand pain from using a mouse, typing on a keyboard, practicing normal exercise, or even from participating in everyday activities such as combing your hair or brushing your teeth, cooking or cleaning. Hand pain can also come from carpal tunnel syndrome.

Symptoms. Symptoms of arm and hand pain include aches, sharp pains, weakness, stiffness or decreased movement. The pain may originate from areas between the neck and shoulder.

Chiropractic treatment. Chiropractic care can be beneficial for arm and hand pain because it addresses the musculoskeletal system’s role in these conditions, focusing on spinal and joint alignment, muscle imbalances, and nerve function. By manipulating the spine and extremities, chiropractors can relieve nerve compression, reduce muscle tension, and improve overall joint movement, potentially alleviating pain and discomfort in the arms and hands.
